The difference in one sentence
LV Viewer reads, LV PRO calculates. Both open the same files, show the same texts and find the same prices. In addition, LV PRO can select items, calculate quantities and totals, sort by trade and pass the selection on as a GAEB file – and display its interface in several languages.

For costing and site management: quantities per unit, totals across a selection and across all projects, evaluation by trade and keyword, passing on in GAEB format. The program interface is multilingual; further languages are being added step by step.

Both programs show in the „About“ tab which graphics card is installed in the computer. It is used for calculating in LV PRO, because only there do totals and evaluations arise.

Technology, licence and data protection
- Both programs run on Windows 10 and 11 (64 bit). The setup brings everything with it; nothing needs to be pre-installed on the computer.
- Both can be installed side by side; settings and activation remain separate.
- Each program has its own licence key: a Viewer key does not unlock LV PRO and vice versa. Both programs can be tested free of charge for 30 days; after that, each licence runs for one year.
- The program reports new versions at startup and only downloads them after your consent.
- Your bills of quantities stay on your computer or on your own server. The only connection to Geier-IT is the licence check.
