The essentials first: all calculations run exclusively on your computer. Your drawings (DWG/DXF), coordinates and project data never leave your PC. There is no telemetry, no usage statistics and no advertising. The only internet connections the program makes serve the licence check and the update check with the Geier-IT licence server (keygen.gdyn.de).

2. What data the program processes
2.1 Locally on your computer (no transfer)
- The drawings you open and the coordinates you enter are processed exclusively locally and stored locally.
- Program settings (e. g. selected theme, target system, output folder) are stored in the Windows user profile under
%LOCALAPPDATA%\GK-UTM. - The activation record is stored there as well, encrypted and bound to the machine (Windows DPAPI).
2.2 Transfer to the Geier-IT licence server
Only in the following three cases does the program connect to https://keygen.gdyn.de (server location: Germany):

With each of these connections the server receives your IP address for technical reasons. It is not stored with the licence record; in the server logs it is kept briefly for the analysis of misuse and errors and deleted automatically.
2.3 What is not processed
- no content of your drawings or coordinates
- no names of files or projects
- no usage statistics, no usage behaviour, no crash reports
- no disclosure to third parties, no processors, no transfer to third countries
3. Legal bases
- Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (performance of a contract): activation and the validity check are necessary in order to provide the licensed software.
- Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest): protection of the licence against abusive multiple use as well as the provision of security and functional updates.
4. Storage period
- Licence data (key, company name, device identifier, activation date) is stored for the duration of the licence relationship and beyond that within the scope of the statutory retention obligations.
- Server connection logs are deleted automatically after a short time.
- You can delete the data held locally on your computer yourself at any time by removing the folder
%LOCALAPPDATA%\GK-UTM; on uninstallation, activation and settings are deliberately retained so that a reinstallation is possible without renewed activation.
5. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the following rights:
- information about the data stored about you (Art. 15),
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16),
- erasure (Art. 17) and restriction of processing (Art. 18),
- data portability (Art. 20),
- objection to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) (Art. 21),
- complaint to a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77), e. g. to the state data protection commissioner of your federal state.

6. Obligation to provide data
Providing the licence key and company name during activation is necessary in order to use the program; without them the licence cannot be unlocked. All other functions of the program work without any data transfer.
7. Changes to this policy
This privacy policy will be adapted if the program or the legal situation changes. You will always find the current version on this page.
